It seems a bit crass to nominate myself.  So, who wants to suggest the rugbyologist blog to be highlighted at SkeptiLove?
SkeptiLove is devoted to reporting on the generous acts of
non-believers (and differently abled believers), and to bringing
skeptics, critical thinkers, agnostics, atheists, humanists, and
secularists together to participate in charitable projects.

If
you have any ideas you want to see carried out on the site, or would
like to nominate anyone for our Spotlight series, or just want to say
hello, please write to: skeptilove@gmail.com.

As you may or may not know, the rugbyologist is a charitable effort.  From the profile:
Every penny from this blog is being donated to support Médecins Sans
Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) in collaboration with the
anti-rape campaign, Silence is the Enemy.

The current total is: $149.11.  More clicks, more money, more medicine.  Get to it people.

I knew you were a charity case, and now we have number to tie to it.

I think that's a good idea.  The (well-deserved) knock on atheists is you don't see a lot of them going into prisons or running soup kitchens or orphanages, the way religious people do - the most prominent atheists just have big mouths and write books.

So it's nice to see that someone recognizes that caring is not a trait of religion, it's a trait of humanity, and that atheists maybe just need better PR about good works.

There is also a more subtle marketing issue.  Religious institutions frequently use their charity as a recruitment tool, not just a way of living the word.  More converts, more donations, etc. go be as cynical as me.  Secularists do not have that institutional motivation.  At least, not as significantly.  At least, not yet.  They are organizing.  My inner anarchist shudders.
