Here is Dan Olmstead, editor of Age of Autism, talking about their favorite cardiologist:
But be prepared to argue with someone your own size -- in fact, someone
much more imposing in terms of credentials and credibility. Member of
the Institute of Medicine. Former head of the Red Cross. And, most
importantly, former head of the National Institutes of Health.
And, here is JB Handley, founder of Age of Autism, in an attack on a pro-vaccine neurologist:
It doesn’t appear that autism, vaccines, immunology, toxicology,
nutrition, or gastroenterology are part of his area of focus,
expertise, or study.
And more JB on the value of degrees:
I’m not intellectually intimidated by any of these jokers. Their degrees mean zippo to me. . .
By their standards, Novella (neurologist) is just as good an expert based on training as Healy (cardiologist), but neithers expertise should matter because degrees are worthless. How do you get to be Healy with their Person of the Year Award instead of Novella who gets personally attacked? The only qualification that matters to Age of Autism is that you agree with them.
