About Danna
Cephalopods have been rocking my world since I was in grade school. Now I'm a graduate student at Stanford University's Hopkins Marine Station, where I study the development and dispersal of Humboldt squid. I blog long, thoughtful essays (or equally long, incoherent rambling) at the Cephalopodiatrist. Here at Squid A Day I'm shooting for the exact opposite.
Might as well say it up front: The Contest brought me here. After I graduate, I want to go into science writing, and I would really, really love that internship. Here's hoping that posting a daily squid will inspire me to write a winning essay!
