About Christie Hi world! I'm Christie, science blogger and PhD student in the CMB program at the University of Hawaii. Having gained a B.S. in Marine Science from Eckerd College, much of my view of the world is from a marine perspective, and what better place to live when studying the ocean than in Hawaii!

This blog, Science in Paradise, will talk about the ocean, conservation, Hawaii, and whatever else suits my fancy as a marine biologist living in one of the most beautiful, if isolated, places on earth. As well as here on scientificblogging.com, I write for my own personal science blog, Observations of a Nerd (observationsofanerd.blogspot.com) and am the lead science correspondent for Nutrition Wonderland (nutritionwonderland.com).
